Spring is here!!!!

YIPPPPEEEEEE!

My mum's birthday always means the end of winter and brighter warmer days! Day light saving is 4 weeks away, another big YIPPPEEEE!!!

I had a fantastic time away scrapping with the girls, we got the best deal EVER and it was fantastic. So good we are doing it again at LEAST 3 times next year......we had a private cabin, great light, great food and great company - what else could we ask for.

A comment (by a male) was made at work today about me going away scrapbooking and suggesting that means I HAVE NO LIFE!!! It made me think of the line

"I HAVE a LIFE that is WHY I scrapbook"

Here is a LO I did on the weekend. I got 12 done in total, 10 for me and 2 for Kathryn as she was my bidder in the KSK auction. I will share more soon.

Oh my.....

I am meant to be taking off tomorrow at 3 to a scrapping retreat at the bargain price of $86, and YES it includes FOOD! I cant wait but Narelle NO I never got my photos printed.......not that i dont have any!!!!LOL

My bags are not packed, i have a back ache and I am glued to my heat pack

I have 3 baskets of ironing

I got home at 8 tonight after 4 days straight at work, which includes 3 inserves in 2 days and many miles!

anyway the bright side is my working week is over!!!!!

We lost our little staffy (my little pussy cat) today.

We noticed she had weepy eyes on Wednesday and thought she just had a cold as it has been very COLD here. Today she would not leave her bed so Daz took her to the vet.

She had a massive eye tumor and that meant her eye had to be removed and as it was so big it could give her brain damage. The vet said she might not be her happy self again as she would be protective as she would be blind in one eye. As Max and her play together I could not RISK it. I could not take her to the vet and I am feeling empty as Darren said his goodbyes and has had a cry. I could not go, I could not say goodbye but now as the tears start to swell I feel sooo bad I did not give her one last kiss!

My fondest (and funniest) story of this little rascal was when I walked both her and Bronte though the lakes at the back of the new estate in 2001. It was a hot January morning and I had lost a lot of weight and my wedding rings were loose. Bronte would go for a swim in the lake but Pebbles would never leave my side. This time Bronte swam right off and I was calling her back, all of a sudden Pebbles jumped in and started to swim too. It was like she did three strokes and just SUNK, GONE!!!!! I ran into the dirty lake and scooped her up as I did I felt something weird on my left hand............OH MY GOSH my rings. I splashed and searched and just paniced as Pebbs gasped for air and all I could think about was my wedding rings. I walked home in the HOT morning sun WET, MUDDY and CRYING. no one could see the tears as I was sweating sooo much. I thought about borrowing my friends pool scoop and going back!!! I even wondered about redrawing from our home loan. I cried all the way home......................i had a shower and sulked for 3 hours.

THEN I sat on my bed and there they were. My rings, they had fallen off that night and I had forgotten i put them on my bedside table...............oh man the day Pebbles made me save her life had turned out ok!!!!!

Miss ya ! We will never forget your noises, your big tongue, your gorgeous muscles, and the way you cleaned yourself like a cat.

random thoughts

Well I am on weight watches (again) and it is a SHOCK to the system but I am IN THE ZONE and need to loose 10 kg. Baby making is on hold, my brain needs a rest from it all, it was doing MY HEAD IN!!! I have done VERY well for 4 days now and I know once this week is over it will be second nature again, and as the weather warms up I will walk more and 10kg will come quickly.

I am madly saving $$$$. I have to realise I just can't spend like I used to. Plus if i want to get to a great holiday destination for my 10th wedding anniversay next year I need $$$. I have done very well and hey I am eating less food so that has to help!!!! LOL.

today i was sad when Grant Hackett lost the 1500m. The Aussie's have owned this race at Olympic and Commonwealth games level since 1990, and today the reign came to an end. In 2000 I was screaming at Grant for beating Kieran Perkins, hoping and praying Kieran would get the triple. At least in 2000 it went to another Aussie! but today we lost our second chance at the triple. I feel sorry for Grant, I just wanted him to have that bit if history for him and the Aussie fans!!!!

and WHY will i be staying up to the WEE hours of the morning for the next few nights! I am now a photoshop FREAK!!! LOL I went to Janine's house today for a photshop course. And i leant sooooooo much!!!! I am off to play and tweak. It was a great afternoon spent chatting, playing and learning, what else could a girl ask for on a Sunday afternoon!!!!

the Olympics!!!! I love seeing Aussie's win and being proud of them. At school i am loving the buzz too! We had an Olympic day and there was sooo much colour and spirit, it was sooo nice. Here is the slide show I created for the whole school, 10 kids in my class were born in 2000, one on the day the Sydney Olympics started!!!!

I have loved walking my class to the library this week to watch the swimming finals and cheering on the aussies. They are sooo cute, one of my students asked me how I knew we were going to win as every time we went to the library we WON!!! I just nodded and told her I KNEW everything!!!! LOL

I am loving watching Max as I have taught him to call out GO AUSSIE - he yells "Aussie GO GO" too cute! Each afternoon we sit and watch the diving and as they jump he says "WHOOO........splash" "WHOOOOOOO............splash".

Kylie Tout I love you too! After coming home with a headache yesterday as I had toooo much fun in the sun at the Olympics I was soooooooo excited to open all this!!!!!!! Wonderful scrapping clearly albums!!!!! I cant wait to use them, they are the cutest shapes - a house, a van, an arrow and a train, plus a 6x6, 3x2 and lots of little bits. Plus the funkiest scallop scissors that I cant wait to use. HUGS Kylie you made my week!!!!

Oh and here is wags THE DOG Max had a great day with Alex, Sophie and Charlotte at the Wiggly play centre at Seven Hills. He was sooo HAPPY to meet wags too, I am turning him into a Wiggles groupie!!! LOL

Oh the roller coaster ride of life

well it has not been a week that will go down as one of my favs, and hey it is not even OVER YET!!!

I guess my PMT set in early and it led me to be very emotional and angry in a staff meeting, I was sad (holding back tears) about what was being said and after many weeks of hard work just really wanted to walk home! If it was not for my wonderful class I would have. It really should not have upset me...........I know better than that but hey..........oh well!!!!

Anyway DH is driving me nuts as he is stressed and having a very bad time...........grrrrr...so we are both bears with sore heads. Then to top it all off another month of not being pregnant has just made me feel so blue tonight. I hugged Max sooo tight tonight and tried to talk myself into the fact that it would be ok...............will it be??? I know it will it just does not feel like it right now........I am so looking forward the 29th month of trying (15 with Max)!!! Yes life could be worse i know!!!!!

To tip me over the edge bloglines would not work for me......i had 2 nights of withdrawals. it kept reading page can not load. For those of you that use bloglines you can imagine how stressed i was. LOL. I have fixed it by downloading a new version

Two and a half years old

WOW doesn't time fly!

Today my lovable, tantrum throwing, funny and clever baby boy is 2.5.

We had a busy day. We went to say happy birthday to Alanah and then went down to the lakes for a play at the park. You love the slippery dip. When we walked down to the water you were calling the sharks "shark come". When we got to the jetty you said "oh no shark..gone". You loved looking at the boats and god excited at the littlest things... I love it when you see something new (like dirt in the water) and you point and shake and say "mum, mum...ohhhhh look mum". after an hour at the park we went to Liverpool to get some fruit and a quick look at Spotlight. You asked for a continental frankfurt at the Deli and walked around the mall munching on it! You are soo independent...you don't want to sit in the stroller and you want to ride the escalator all the time. We stopped off on the way for tickets to the circus and then took some shots with Russell. "idontwantto" is your fav word and after getting some great shots ONLY to discover I was using the settings I set up for outdoors and they were all dark. Getting you to sit down for more photos involved me popping out from behind the camera SCREAMING my lungs out in a game of peek-a-boo (worried the neighbours might call the police).

You have 100 expressions and you are soooo funny when you tell a story as you laugh at yourself and throw your hands around in the air!

After your nap we watched a Wiggles DVD and danced around! Between us we finished off 2 punnets of strawberrys! I was on the phone and you stuck 3 pegs to the heater and turned it on....i was quick to save the melting pegs! For the first time in months you let me put on a non Wiggles DVD next {Max and Milly}! We played some more and Daddy got home after a long day with our Chinese dinner. I love the way you eat veges and you love curry like daddy. You then went out in the garage to play with dad/ All of a sudden it was 8.30 pm and i had lost rack of time. I was folding clothes and tiredness had set in. Nothing could calm you and you threw a 20 minute tantrum. "no nappy" so i walked away, then you screamed "nappy on". You had hit the wall. i managed to calm you with a puppy book and you fell asleep in 1 minute.

thanks for another great day baby boy....you will always be my baby boy!

• You are so independent and insist on doing most things yourself, including walking down the stairs. when i try to help you always say " no me".
• You hate having your nappy changed. Whn i say you can wear undies you say "NO...idontwantto".
• While the water is boiling for your morning weet - bix you start to eat one dry. You say "mess mum...mess" and I push the crumbs in your bowl and you nod in approval!
• When you wake early (7.30am) you don't snuggle in with me anymore, you want a DVD on, oh I miss the days when we went back to sleep!
• You only hear me speak occasionally.
• you said your name for the first time in July, you refused to say it to me for many months.
• You love jumping on the bed. Since you cant get up you turn the clothes basket upside down and climb up.
• you love your little $20 trike and speed around the tiles on it. i love it when you take your wiggles dolls for a ride and talk to them.
• I love it when you say "mum, the sun is in bed" at night time and then in the morning you say "the sun is up".
• You ask if Dad is home everyday, but when he is home you say "no mum do it".
• You stopped calling a drink a blawah- blawah and started to call it a dink, I was sad to see that cute little quirk go.
  
• If I tell you something is gone or not working you shake your head and say “oh dead”.
• You love diggers and trucks and get excited when we see them on the road.
  
• You love to drink fresh passionfruit from a cup, and you get cranky when I steal some. You love cake and love it when it is someones birthday as it means you will get some CAKE!!!!
• When people talk to you in the shops you are sometimes unfriendly and say "no go".
• What hasn't changed - you still love puppies, your favourite word is still MINE and you love cords, power and anything with a switch. You still always ask to play in the car when we get home.

this sweet little girl got a SURPRISE trip to Disneyland today! She opened the pressie at 9.30am and left the house for LA at 10.30! you gotta love stories like this - and deep down i wish i was her!

I am loving it!

WOW ever since doing Janine's photography course I have been obsessed! In June (when I was snowed under with reports) I learnt sooo much about my camera but have only had the time to play NOW!

I am loving her tips. It is hard to get GOOD shots of Max these days as he is always on the move. I have resprted to practising on LITTLE PEOPLE (by fisher price).

I can't wait to August 17 for my next photoshop course!

My little ROCk star!

It is pouring, the holidays are officially over and I am catching up on Max's journal.
NOTE TO SELF take this holiday list and complete a lot of it next holidays!!!! lol
I started to look through some photos and forgot about how much I laughed last Thursday (10 July). Max and I got home from an evening at the shops (maybe it was the dough-nut) and we walked into the kitchen. He just grabbed his mike and started to entertain me, singing
"laaa long la, rahh rahh, ummmmm, rah rah!!!!, oooo ooooh oh yeah!!!!!! "
All he needs is a nappy box for a stage and he is READY to entertain!
I moved the box today actually and when he woke up from his sleep he pointed and cried "oh oh gone, no ...my up ......gone!!!!"

today he made me laugh again as I got him some baby love nappies as they were on special and they have the Wiggles on them!
When I showed him he had the biggest FIT, crying NO, NO! I asked him why and he said

"Jeff, ..no poo....on Jeff" GREAT!!!! $50 bucks well spent! I will stick to Winnie the POOH (pardon the pun) until we are in undies!!!! Oh hang on i bought Wiggles undies - at least I will know he wont wet his pants!

thanks my little man for 2 fantastic weeks of holidays, I loved out PJ days, our trip to the farm, our adventures at play centres, shopping, feeding the ducks, riding your bike, fixing the computer, our picnic with Tayla and Alanah and lots of Wiggles DVDs. I love spending my holidays with you, it makes me happy that I am in a job where I can be with you every ten weeks for a nice break! LOVE YA Maxi

I am writing to say for the first time since about Christmas there is no ironing basket in this house. NOT one bit of ironing to be done, there are 2 loads of washing waiting to be hung out tomorrow but no ironing.
I also have a SMASHING looking program for term 3. I have organised pen pals for Flat Stanley in Texas, planned some FANTASTIC maths activities and a fantastic Olympic program!!!

on the sad side I have not scrapbooked in 4 weeks (that is SAD i know).

Whatever happened to the slack ironer, teacher that planned weekly (ie Sunday night before) and scrapbooked till dawn in the holidays??????? All the scrapbookers out there need to SLAP me!

Jeff Wiggle we do love you!

WOW I spent 2 hours today trying to upload my 400 plus photos from my 350D, no matter what I did (reinstalled/deleted software 100 times) it did not detect my camera.

FINALLY I found a troubleshooting section on the Canon website and it turns out I have my PC connection on my camera turned off......!!!!!!! Don't know how it happened but gee it wasted some precious time.

Anyway since I now have my photos uploaded I have no photo editing software as Daz bought me elements 6 and I am waiting for it to arrive, I am tooo lazy to load 4 on as it will arrive tomorrow in the post. ANYWAY back to the point of this post!

Last Friday a Wiggles play centre opened at Villawood (20 min from home). We love the centre at Seven Hills and the add said Jeff was going to be there and since Max refers to Wiggles DVDs as "Jeff on" I knew he would love to meet him! So Veronika, the kids and I got there and joined the line an hour before the centre opened.

The line grew and grew and I started to wonder where they may put all these people......no management or staff really appeared and people were starting to push in the very badly organised line! The staff announced the first 200 would get in, great as we counted and we would make that. When the doors opened there was no real respect for the line, people just pushed and the 4km line became one MASS crowd. ALL that was needed was for management to come out and give the first 200 people tickets, stamps WHATEVER but no they were sooooooooo disorganised and DUMB. People were booing and kids were crying. Here's my little boy heart broken when I said we had to go home.

The centre had to do something...I tell you there was 1000s of angry people! I should have been inside, instead children who were behind us in the line and had RUDE pushy mothers were inside and I had to explain to a 2.5 year old that he was not going in. Come on these guys sell out the entertainment centre 5 times over and they weren't expecting a crowd.

After some "we want Jeff chanting", he appeared and I tell you he is such a sweetie. Jeff spent over an hour outside! He was sooo kind and was happy to get 100s of photos taken and he signed Max's Jeff doll for him!

we then drove to Seven hills and had a great play and danced with Dorothy...WOW what a lucky little boy! It was a great day and we BOTH slept when we got home, we woke up at 5.30pm and had to rush off to Alyssa's birthday party and WOW her mum cooks a FANTASTIC cake...YUM! We were out until 11pm, we are such party animals!!!!

oh Summer days

I love this LO it sooo reminds me of warm summer days and lazy afternoons in the pool! It was 14 here yesterday so I am really missing days like these. Look at these 3 cuties. They would have been Quads but Zoe left before the fridge raid began.

I am glad Max has playmates his age, as they grow up I am happy they will keep each other company in school holidays and on weekends

I have spent many hours uploading fonts, i tunes, picasa, favourites, printer software, photoshop elelments, sorting documents and video footage. My computer has had a massive clean up and I love how fast it now is!

Tonight back to the school work and fingers crossed I will be scrapping by Wednesday.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!

Late Wednesday night my computer stopped working! OMG I was soooooo BORED. I had to resort to cleaning the house!!!!

the good news- all my photos and documents were saved. I am NOW the proud owner of a 19 inch flat screen (so everything is bigger and better) and I have faster working bits in my tower lots more grunt (no idea of technical names!!! LOL!!!)

the bad news - I lost ALL my email addresses, downloaded programs, FONTS!!!!!, the 265 emails I was saving as they were toooooo important to delete, MY FAVOURITES and I have no idea how to get into MSN as my hotmail email was on remember me and so i don't REMEMBER it! Belinda V I know you can help there!!!!

The sweet man who fixed my computer (QUICKLY) was sorry about this but said he had no idea WHY I would want to save fonts (over 400 fantastic fonts LOST), favourites or emails from 2006!!!! HELLO!!!!!!

SO please if you like me, and we have conversed by email before drop me a line so I can save your addy!!! or if you have any suggestions for my favourites send me some too as I lost over 50 great educational web sites and about 100 scrapbooking favs. Thank goodness for bloglines or I would have lost all of my blogs too!!!!!!!

I tell you I get more sleep when this machine is in the repair shop! Off to reload HEAPS of programs and download some of my fav handwriting fonts!

I survived the toy sale!!! thanks for all the calls and messages, LOL. Numbers were really down this year! I guess BIG W was open too, but after the initial rush in Kmart it as dead by 1am, except the HORRID lay by line! We did big W too and it was quiet at 2.30 am ! I was curled up in bed by 3.15am. there was lots of laughs as usual but I am tooooo tired to type! I had a two hour Nanna nap today and am feeling tired NOW!!!!

Here is a LO I did at the retreat i was very inspired by Vanessa's trees from 2 crafty! She cuts and sells all her own chipboard. I love this naked tree, adding the buttons was sooo much fun at 2am Vanessa was soooo nice to sit with at the retreat, thanks for the laughs Miss Vanessa, I hope to come and visit with Maxi these school holidays as I need some of your funky chipboard owls!!!

1 day to go at school. I have been invited to a girl friends house tomorrow night for drinks and DVDs, I just sooo want to come home and VEG!!!! but I will go as I know I will have a great laugh

TODAY the BIG W TOY sale catalogue arrived in my mail box! Here is how the afternoon went!

4.15 - look at the catalogue page by page, think hard that Max needs nothing, I want sing star and "do I get the 8 foot or 10 foor jumpoline"!

I see the Wii and think of Miss Alison as she may want one for Rebecca, funnily enough the phone rings and it is Alison. We talk toys and scrapping for 24 minutes (my phone has a timer)

I ring Elleni and talk Wiggles tickets and toys with her, we compare KMARTS prices and talk presents! we talk for 24 minutes!

5.35 - go to leave for the shops to grab some chicken for tea, the phone rings, meaning it is pasta for tea! Karen and I talk tactics about the MIDNIGHT TOY SALE TRADITION. this year we have many options as big w opens at midnight TOO!!! Oh the choices!
for some strange reason we talk for 23 minutes??!!!! that may be a record!

I call local big w and check if they will be open! I get the service girl of the YEAR and she gives me all the hints of where things are going to be. and they are only getting 70 Wiis in bigger stores and 40 in smaller SO RUN people! Oh yes back to my angel, she is a mum of a 2 year old too so of course we get talking!!!! we talk jumpolines too and V tech laptops! She tells me to come in tomorrow lay by everything come and see her on Friday, cancel the layby and re layby it at sale prices!!!! REALLY??!!! I always thought you could do that but felt scabby doing it! My sales angel insists I can do it and then tells me to enjoy my sleep at midnight!!!! NO!!!! the whole tradition involes coffee and cake at Rashaeys first while the TOY TEAM (AKA Karen, Anabel, Tanya and I ) swap maps and lists and PLAN out attack! So I might layby everything and go in anyway!!! LOL
Oh and Naomi and I (sales assistant of the year) spoke for 24 minutes!!! WOW!!!

I call my MIL Ann and we talk TOYS for a while, SIL Donna and I talk jumpoline sizes and if Max will be able to ride a bike (with trainers) at Christmas time as if so she will get a bike!

We eat vege and chesse pasta and leftover bbq from last night...max also ate a bowl of bubbles and 2 choc yogos for dessert (yes he snuck the second one in while I was talking TOYS!!)

Narelle calls! gee I missed home and away ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!! we would have talked for 24 minutes but Daz came in all fired up saying I had hit the garage door with the car!!! MEN! i HIt nothing!!!!!!!!

Am I obsessed or what!!!??? I get a little crazy this time of year...... wish me luck at midnight on Wednesday, I will enjoy my strawberry pancakes at Rashaeys(which I will fast all day for as I am starting a diet tomorrow) and REMEMBER to go to the ladies this time as last time I ran for toys I had to STOP or it was not going to be pretty!

Happy Bithday to my gorgeous friend Julie! thanks for the great night that I needed after a tough week! here is a photo of us at my birthday last year (with Alison in the middle)!!! LOL poor me could not remember how old I was this week! it was not until I figured if Julie was 31 today i could not be TURNING 31 like I thought in the staffroom at school this week! WOW I am getting old if I cant remember how old I am !
I have no idea WHY reports were sooo HARD this year! Maybe my dedication as a teacher has slipped and I am living my life too much, running after a toddler, scrapbooking, blog surfing, chatting with friends on MSN and PROCRASTINATING!!!! I have often wondered if I should take a demotion, go back to being just a teacher with no title at the end. Walk in and walk out NO DRAMA, no extras. WOULD I COPE??? maybe not, i tell you I would not cope with no keys to the stationary/craft storeroom! Imagine if I had to actually WRITE it down and WAIT!!! NO WAY!!! I guess the longer I am in this role the harder it would be to actually leave it!

OUT OF ORDER!

yep! that is how my head feels at the moment!

I get back from an EXCELLENT weekend away to a broken hot water system, meaning LIMITED showers, YES i went 2 days without a shower, just hospital baths! YUCK! especially after an excursion to the city with 52 children walking ALL DAY!!!!
I then stuff UP saving some of my reports and have to write most of my Maths comments all over again! ARRRRGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I have 2 MASSIVE baskets of ironing, a headache, 1 week to write Term 3s program so I can scrapbook all holidays, i dropped my camera and broke the focus thingy on the lens and i get a massive doctors bill from my OP that I was NOT expecting !

What else so you do at 12.30am on a scrapping retreat??? burn your eyes with fluro colour would be an option! this LO is bright but it matches my outfit!
This LO took me half an hour, that is all I had left to pack up time. It has sat in my "to scrap" folder for 3.5 years, so I am happy to have it done!
there are 2 that I cant share, and one kit page from Katja that I forgot to photograph.

I am HOME!!!! not that i guess many of you knew I was GONE!!! I had a great 2.5 days at a scrapbook retreat! I scrapped, procrastinated, laughed, sang, ate, spat on my LO from too much giggling with Vanessa my table buddy and met some really nice people that I hope will be in contact!
I took photos of all my layouts BUT as I am NOW playing with my ISO and WB on my camera thanks to the wonderful Janine (like I know what I am doing!!!!) i forgot to change it for the LOs and they came out all grainy! So I will re shoot ASAP!!! I spent 5 hours making a button tree so it is WELL worth the wait!

8 working days (for this part timer) till those MUCh needed holidays roll around. I need another list too as working to a list it GOOD!
sooooo much to share, I hope to do a post a day to catch up on all that is happening and has happened over the last week!
head down, bum up NOW as I put the final touches on my reports and check another 40 maths comments!

have a good week- I am off to Darling Harbour Wildlife world and the Aquarium on Tuesday with 60 6-8 year olds so wish me JOY!

I am exhausted, Sunday i had a bad headache and had to go to bed early (NO REPORTS)
Monday night Max was awake with fevers and the worst grizzling I have heard in years (NO REPORTS)
Last night I was up all night with him too, teeth, tonsils, oral thrush, fevers, you name it he has it!!! (No REPROTS). I am now 3 nights behind, I would have finished, I would have been drinking in celebration tonight!
I have a retreat all weekend and you scrapbookers know how important it is to be prepared for a retreat or you WASTE precious scrapping time. I am not even close, my table is still a mess from when I scrapped 7 days ago!

ok I am going to drag my bed to work, lucky Max is with family today so he can relax.

I wonder how good I will be today with MINIMAL sleep over 3 days! Narelle I know you know how I feel!!!

YAWN!!! off I go.............wish me joy and happiness with my computer lesson, multiplication lesson and ART!!!!!!!
