December Twenty-Ten

Dec 1, the first day was BUSY, an indicator of the month ahead......kids organised....up at 5am. Rel and I at school website course in the city, train home. Karen and Mark's lighting of the lights, there an hour and then all rained out....sadly even too wet for Santa this year.

Preschool dinner, great friends and goodbye to Marlene after 11 fab years as director :(

Rain washed out 2 of our favourite carols events (preschool and Liverpool Catholic club).

School - A visit from the DG, reports, end of year presentation days, Mahogany guest appearances, year 6 farewells, tears, stress, laughs and being a maniac and hanging out of a moving car dressed as Santa....(photos to come when Rel is home from holidays).

Shopping, shopping and more shopping. Late trips to KMART (gotta love a 24 hour KMART and Coles).

Flynn's 1st birthday (can't believe my baby is one already!!!!). Also Karen and Rel's birthdays!!

Christmas eve drinks with great friends, the kids were visited by Santa on a fire truck (in the heat, no rain this time).

A mums' group Christmas catch up (wow 5 years since our first Christmas party)

Christmas day. Boxing day. Sales. Relaxing at home after 2 extra public holidays.

A nice day relaxing day up the river. Max had a very slow ride on the tube. Then new year at friends in the pool, eating MORE and partying and dancing 2011 in!!!!!

In August I was lucky enough to go the Savvy-delights scrap retreat and I had a ball!!!!!!

The classes on offer were fantastic, best I have seen in years! I wish i had enough money to do both classes!

When i saw this layout by Lisa Warren i fell in love! It was so gorgeous and I really wanted to do it as I could see I was going to LEARN some techniques which is what i love doing and have missed since i stopped attending classes many many moons ago.

Thanks San and Sar for a great weekend and Lisa, I love this layout to bits, thanks for teaching me something new!

Scrapbooking - 2010

well sadly I am not up to date with MUCH! My poor photo-a-day album is WAITING (since May), mind you I am proud that I have kept up with taking the photos !!!!! I have 2 mini albums that I want to finish and I have not even started Flynn's month by month album.

At least being on the 2Crafty design team has allowed me to make some time for scrapping. Here are my latest layouts for the blog

rain rain go away

rain has washed out our 2 favourite carols events this year (preschool and Liverpool Catholic club) boooo to the rain.

I have 13 things on my to do list for work tomorrow (opps it's that late, I mean today). head down bum up, then OFF to the year 6 farewell at 6pm.........soooo looking forward to a drink afterward

November Twenty-ten

• More Mahogany, VIP tix, got into the Grandfinal - 4 girls, 2 tickets, traffic, running, lots of laughs.
• Anzac Village Market day
• Sarah's baby shower.....then little Harry was welcomed to the world about 11 days later.
• Ann's/Nanna's 60th birthday lunch.
  School Spectacular (the REAL one and the one at BPS)
• Report marking
• Staff night out - barefoot bowling and dinner
• SICK - we dropped like flys
• our filter broke...more money!!!
• Flynn crawling fast and cruising furniture

Great times

Congrats Mahogany xxxxxxx 4th overall and no.1 Australian group...we are so proud

What I will remember:

• lining up in the tunnel like sardines until we got some VIP treatment in the last 4 weeks.
• Sunday night fun at FOX studios with the BPS girls
• rushing from school to go to FOX studios every Monday.
• Glitter in my eye, crazy posters.
• late nights having laughs with the girls at Rashays
• meeting lots of famous people.
• lots of TV shots of most of us, and if we weren't seen you heard us
• Dave the warm up guys jokes
• Di's yummy lollies
• texting until I got RSI
• stopping people in traffic and getting them to vote
• the community spirit at BPS
• male dancers, dressed like female dancers, that made people happy until they heard me say "they are MEN".
• Getting into the Grandfinal, being one ticket short after a mad dash over the oval
• Eliza....oh Eliza!!!!!

I really hope to make a photo book of every moment, it is an experience we wont ever have again xxxxx

I have been busy scrapping with gorgeous 2Crafty product...POP over to the blog for lots of weekly updates and gorgeous DT layouts.

These 2 gorgeous girls WERE teachers at my school. I loved working with them for so many reasons. Maureen and I had a great time working on stage 3 Numeracy last year and Faye and I always had giggles in the staffroom every Friday. They told me they missed me SO much this year.......but now it is my turn to miss them as they have taken leave to follow their dream....MUSIC.
Mahogany made the X factor and they are in the TOP TEN. We had a great 2 nights watching them.

I know they will go a long way........sadly the choir at school will never be the same :(

August twenty-ten

Max's cast came off and I nearly fainted at the wires poking out of the skin.

I got the sad news that Scissors Paper Smock in Liverpool will close by Aug 31.

Pop in this month and save heaps on lots of product in their closing down sale.

The good news for me is that I have met 2 fantastic new friends and we are getting together to scrap on our Wednesdays off......first project a star book!!!!

July Twenty-ten

School Holidays...lots of rest at home watching DVDs. We hibernated like bears.

Callum came over for a play date.

Toy sale shopping.

Went to see Marmaduke with Tina, Anabel, Cameron and Alyssa and Narelle and I saw twilight.

Alyssa's and Cameron's birthday. Cooper's 1st birthday.

Back to work for 2 days.

Worked with Karen again for the first time in 7.5 years.

Disney on Ice.

A late Tupperware and Jewellery party at Narelle's....in bed at 3.30am

Alanah's birthday - a lovely BBQ and a late Sunday night.

let me entertain you

Here is a double layout I did at the retreat I organised at Long Point in June this year. I did not get much done, but I had a great time and caught up with great friends and met some wonderful new ones too, (hi Chrissy). Can't wait to do it all again in June 2011.
While away I did this double, a single layout and caught up on some project life. I think it was midnight on Friday and Sandra and I had still not really done much at all, but heck we were having a good giggle and catch up so all was fine.


On Sunday I wanted my photo of the day to be with Jen Hall. I was lucky enough to have Jen as one of my first scrapbook teachers in 2002. SHE gave me the bug, she inspired me to start scrapping ME. It is because of her that I have over 50 pages telling the story of my life.
I feel like I have watched her life unfold with her gorgeous girls over the last 8 years. She is one sensational mum and I am so happy scrapbooking introduced us. Jen made the COOLEST invitations for her daughters birthday on our weekend away. She reminds me of all the fun things motherhood has to offer, and the fact that it is a roller coaster ride...... thanks Jen and I hope to catch up soon xx

off to get something else done before ROUTINE bites me in the BUM xxxxx

I love how a photo can bring back that moment, photos for me provoke so much feeling. I love it how photos can take you back to that time, so close you sometimes feel like you were there again.
