Dec 28 to 31

I did not leave the house until the 29th...Darren and i went to IKEA for storage. Darren continued to be my knight and shining armour...shopping cleaning and doing all that was asked of him. I enjoyed shopping at Westfield on NYE with Flynn and Max was with Darren. I forgot how many goos and gahs a small baby attracts.
I wanted a quiet NYE, bed at 10 would have been ok with me.....but Darren invited Allan and his wife over as they were visiting from Perth. We ended up with Ann, Dad and Robert over for dinner and it was a nice night. I jumped into bed at 12.30am, while Daz, Allan and Marianglea partied on until 2.30am.

happy new year to all, I can't believe the 2009 journey is over and 2010 has started. Cheers to a great year for all.

Dec 21 to 27

Darren and I woke up at 6am and got ready ..... It was hard doing it at what seemed to be the opposite to last time....when child birth happened naturally and we drove to the hospital at 2am as my water broke, now I was going in to have my water broken.

Labour started slow apparently he had a tight seal and was never coming naturally. Eventually the drug was at the maximum and period pain was all I could feel. My back was very sore and once again I had another child that did not face the correct way during child birth. I was soooo uncomfortable in the bed and waiting was boring so I decided to stand as I was more comfortable. That did the trick and it all happened so quick from that point.....gravity is wonderful. I kept asking if I still had time for the epidural ....it seemed that they were just ignoring me. At one point I asked them to RIP out my spine to ease the pain and the line that Darren remembers most is when I said "WHY I have gone from ok to write off in 5 minutes?"
When they told me to hold the last push for Dr Fulcher to arrive as he was in the car park I really did not care if he was on the moon......seriously i think most of the pain is forgotten now but yes I let a few swear words fly and checked my dignity in at the door once again. i would seriously love another child but don't think i could do it again.....2 will be enough......so I need to enjoy every baby cuddle as I know this time will go quick.

I left hospital on the 24th...I love Sydney South west Private but with Christmas my stay had to be shorter than I liked, plus the HARD bed was driving me nuts. Darren picked us up at 3 and we drove to Westfields for the much wanted Santa photo. That night we had our friends over for dinner and my gorgeous husband was sooo helpful and showed that he is a whiz in the kitchen. It was nice to have one drink and relax out the back while the kids played and Flynn slept. I wrapped and got a few last things together and fell into bed in pain.
Christmas day was gorgeous but I needed pain killers to get through it. I loved the excitement on Max's face and having my dad with me. Even though I could barely move off the lounge it was a nice day. It ended with a blackout and all of us in bed by 10.30.
On Boxing day I HIT THE WALL, I was sick, sore, tired, emotional BUT every lucky my husband was helpful and ready to do whatever i asked. I spent the next 2 days sleeping and resting. Everywhere I looked there were TOYS/MESS, but my body was in no state to do anything about it.

Merry Christmas 2009

Before I was pregnant...really early this year I had a dream that I walked my baby in the hospital crib on a BUMPY ride down to Westfields (a block from the hospital) to get the IMPORTANT Santa photo......dreams can come true.
We made it !!!! I have my boys and my Santa shot. And NO I was in NO state to walk, Darren drove me!!!! This was taken at 4pm on Christmas Eve.....after standing in line for a painful 50 minutes!
Merry Christmas!!!!!

My buddy Max

Tonight we dropped you off at Nanna's house as tomorrow I am off to hospital to have your baby brother or sister. You broke my heart as we said goodbye as you cried and told me you loved me and missed me. You sat on the steps and cried as we waved goodbye and this made me cry too!
For almost 4 years you have been my buddy, I have spent so much time with you and loved it. You made me a mum, you have taught me so much and i love living life with you. We have shopped together, swam together, shared lots of sleep ins, played for hours together and shared so much of our lives.
Tomorrow someone NEW enters our family and I just want to let you know that I will still love you as much!!!! Dad and I will have to share our time more but having a sibling will be a good thing, I am an only child and sadly i long for a brother or sister. I love you Max, "to infinity and beyond"! thanks for a fantastic 3 years and 11 months, thanks for being a fun and happy son, and making us all laugh!!!!! Tomorrow we welcome someone new and I tell you they are so lucky to have you as their big brother.

Dec 14 to 20

I am off to hospital to have a baby tomorrow!!!!!!! but before I go here is a snap shot of our week!!!!!Monday was a busy one at school...certificates for presentation day and making sure everything was done. I was also tortured by Narelle as she made me put my fat feet into ice water and I tell you the pain was unbearable and a little bit funny.

Tuesday was Narelle's birthday and presentation day. Narelle was convinced I would be giving birth......me on the other hand just knew I wanted to make the week. A quick Christmas party with Linda and the family day care kids and we dashed off to swimming. I was up very late finishing the preschool photo DVD. For fundraising one parent puts all the years photos into a slide show and then they are sold, it is a great idea and I have loved doing it but as usual I have left it to the last minute and i am working late each night to get it done.

Wednesday started busy and ended late. Up with the birds to continue burning DVDs. I dashed into work sat through some interviews, ran down to say goodbye to the gorgeous year 6 and then zoomed off to Max's preschool concert. It was such a proud mum moment watching him sing and dance with his class. He had such a great time and he loved the fact Darren was there too. Santa came to visit and he got a book. We said our goodbyes to the gorgeous staff, I will miss his teacher Michelle so much next year. Then we drove to the camera shop and bought my gorgeous Canon 7D. We stopped off at Karen's house for a celebrational drink and Max had a swim with the kids.....take away for dinner AGAIN (healthy bread rolls and ham from the deli) as I needed to sit and PLAY with my camera. I wanted to go to KMART to buy some presents that evening but I was unable to even get shoes on. So when my battery finally charged at 10.40pm that night the only thing I had to take photos of was my fat feet.

Thursday - the last day of school for 2009. I arrived just before 8am ....a first for this year...just like the old days before kids!!!!! I quickly threw a few ideas onto paper for Alison's and my IWB presentation and chatted with the boss. It was a nice day and we had a gorgeous lunch...shame it was 40 degrees and the air con in the staff room stopped working. We played our "sneaky stealing Santa" game and had some fun. Then the sad part began...it was time for Chris to say his goodbyes. He gave us all a wonderful card with some very sweet words inside, the tears started for me when I read the nice things he said about me as a mum and max, and then I saw my gorgeous pandora charm. but what really made me cry was when he gave Jonathan a Don Bradman pack, handed down from Chris' dad...the relationship and the sentiment was just soooo sweet the tears just flooded out. We ended the day taking photos and just chatting in the HEAT and sometime before 4o'clock the 1976 Kombi left with the principal in it for the last time!!!

I was EXHAUSTED, a long school year had finally come to an end and I was 38 weeks and 6 days pregnant, it was 41 degrees and my office was still not 100% packed up. I had to get home shower and was off to see Dr Fulcher for a check up to see if I was alright to be induced. It was good news, I was booked in for Monday and the only thing that could have made me happier was if he would take me on the 18th...but no it was his day off!!!!!

I cleaned the house Friday and Max and I had a PJ day. We had a wonderful dinner at Karen's for her birthday....home just after midnight! I spent Saturday cleaning and then Sunday Darren and I finished off some Christmas shopping, That evening we had a nice dinner and then took Max to see the lights at Greenway Park. I dropped him off at Darren's mums as I had to be at the hospital at 7am the next morning....it broke my heart to say goodbye. I ironed and sorted clothes to late that night trying not to think to much about the following day.

Dec 7 to Dec 13

I love Summer...on Monday night Darren came home early and we enjoyed a nice BBQ. It made a difference from the "I'm pregnant and tired so I can have takeaway anytime" routine.

On Tuesday night it was off to the year 6 farewell. It was an emotional one as it was the first group of children I have taught at Bonnyrigg. Some wonderful memories and it was nice to hear the captains speech and their nice words about our year in 1/2H together.

On Thursday Narelle organised a great school assembly for Chris. Diana made the most amazing cake...a model of the school and the road he travels from home, I added an orange 'matchbox' Kombi. It was beautiful once again to hear all the kids say wonderful things about Chris.
Then i attended the Preschool committee thank you dinner, it was a delicious meal and wonderful company, it has been a great year being part of the committee and I look forward to 2010.

On Saturday I was feeling very tired and over the pregnancy in general. At 3pm I went and saw the gorgeous Mel from work marry Jorge, she looked stunning. Sadly I was not up to attending the reception as my feet felt like they were going to pop and my whole body hurt.
Sunday we had a quiet catch up with Darren's aunty Kathy and Glenn, I rested with my feet up.....it seemed nothing was going to make the swelling come down. 4 more work days were ahead of me!!!!!!

Nov 30 to Dec 6

No wonder my feet are FAT and I wake up late every morning.....I am 37 weeks pregnant and not really letting much slow me down, I just move from one event to the other!

On Monday night we had our performance night at school. All the children and teachers worked hard to produce some sensational times, I had no energy left once the show ended at 7.30pm.

We went to the annual lighting of the lights at Mark and Karen's on Tuesday....all the lights looked sensational and a nice BBQ was enjoyed by all. Home late and TIRED so I had a sickie on Wednesday and enjoyed taking Max to preschool and saying thanks to his beautiful teacher that was leaving! Oh it felt good just being a mum and I soooo look forward to next year when I take him to preschool and have the day to me Oh and don't forget the baby!

On Friday night Max and I enjoyed carols night at the preschool......it was nice and relaxing and max enjoyed Santa coming. He made friends with 2 older girls and spent the night following them around calling them "friend" and lapping up all the girly attention. I loved looking out at the playground at all the kids with their glow candle sticks in darkness and it just looking like a million fireflies dancing!!!!

On Sunday we had a nice night at the Catholic Club carols. we met up with Karen Mc, Lyndall, Diana, Michelle and Stef from work and enjoyed the show, Mahogany performed some songs and we loved singing out GO MAUREEN and FAYE!!! It is nice to know such great talent, I hope these girls go far.

I got home at 9.30 to ENDURE more report marking...............all ready for week 8.....10 work days to go.
