how do you manage all your memories??

I am obsessed with photos...I love to document...it just takes so long. I am a procrastinator, I work 4 days a week, I am a busy mum, I have an OLD computer...I want a MAC.....they seem to be better at memory keeping!!!! lol I am now learning how to upload my iphone videos to you tube...heaven forbid I loose any of these one day. I want to remember that Max filmed the drive to outdoor training so he knew how to get there without me......my boy LOVES the camera.

A story... I was just approached last month to join a group on Facebook called McIntosh cousins...it was nice that my cousins had started to pull pieces of my mums family together. I have no family photos of my mum. So when my cousin posted a photo of our Nanna I was excited. I showed my mum and she said "that's not Nanna"!!! I was sad... I thought I finally had a photo of my Nanna. My mum should be the one that knows hey! WHO is right? I was going to scrapbook the photo....but who is it a photo of?
I don't want my family not to be documented.
I often think what will happen to my scrapbooks in 80 years! will they be in a museum for people to see what life was like?? I hope someone still loves them and cares......I hope no one ever says that's not Nanna to me. I hope my boys will always love their albums and have enough space to store them ;)

Maxy and Flynnigan Frederick

You are such a little cutie. You are just carefree and take everything in.
You love to chat to yourself, you play along happily and have a chat. "I go to Daddy's car, not mummy car, daddy's car".
You love motorbikes. you get excited when you see them in the street. You tell me the exhaust is hot and blow your hands. You say "don't touch it".
You love to work with Dad in the garage and will sit on the step and watch.
You love to dive bomb in the bath and splash.
You sound so adorable when you talk. You are always trying to say something and have such a great vocab.
You love your wrap and your dummy still.
When I call you my bubba you say "I not bubba, I big boy".
You like play with trucks and cars.
You love the Wiggles and love playing guitar like Murray

I am proud of the way you are doing your best at school. All seems fine and your teacher adores you. You are mature and comment on how Jackson got an incident slip, I am happy your are not involved in incident slips. You are leaning your sounds, sight words and tell me that you can count on. "Mum you don't count the 3 just say it and go 4, 5, 6...get it, you count on".
You are interested in numbers and will try and say numbers when you see them. You have written all the numbers to 100 on several occasions.
You love Bey Blades, Transfomrers and Ninjago. You love to watch all these on you tube also.
You love to come to outdoor fitness training with me and have chats with everyone.
You can ride without training wheels.

I love you both, I love your laughs and your cuddles. I don't live your fights but I love it when you are sweet to each other and I know you will be buddies for life. You make me so happy, I love every minute we spend together xxx

more scrapping

I am lucky that I got some major scrapping time of the long weekend with a fun group of girls! Good laughs, Thai food, Easter eggs and good mojo. I am liking the social side of scrapping again, social scrapping is good for you, I guess girly time is good no matter what.

Once again 2 Crafty is a feature on all these layouts, I must admit I love it. I even love shopping online with Vanessa at all about scrapbooks. She has everything on the layouts above, especially as most of it is October Afternoon .......I am a happy scrapper with OA, one of my all time favs.

Have a great weekend, an update on my boys soon as I so need to document

2 Crafty

2 Crafty keeps me scrapping.....I love using it and I am proud of Vanessa and her business, a great Aussie girl doing great things for scrappers.

Now after my tripple ramble yesterday I plan to post some updates on my gorogeous boys.

Feeling a bit nostalgic, I think I was born to crave memories.

OMG, I am Suddenly 35 going on 36....

However I have no time to change this blog name.
Where have I been?? I have been doing lots and I often wonder WHY the weekly routine of updating this blog has changed. I often don't sit in front of my computer every night like I used too. I often find myself doing school work...updating the schools website, sorting photos for the newsletter rather than updating MY LIFE. I don't want to forget what is important to me...documenting my kids and our life.

Life is tougher, busier, hectic. maybe I am living a little more. I am finding I write less down...something I must vow to change.

I am finding it hard to keep scrapping, I get on a role and life gets in the way. This weekend I should be resting my right arm, it hurts and I think it hurts because I spend too much time on my phone and on the computer, doing work, texting! On Friday after typing lots at work it throbbed....however resting is hard. There is too much on my list.

I need to write more lists, I need to stop and think WHERE to next a lot more. I need to stop letting days off flash by me.

ok i have had my epthiny.......now back to regular programming.

I need to take more time out for me and NOT waste time. I also need to ignore the things I can't change.

How does one catch up?

I had many plans for January to catch up ! I spent most of January cleaning my house from top to bottom and I still have dusty blinds and a messy pantry!

I love this blog but have neglected it. Maybe I spend too much time on facebook, maybe I am getting older and staying up late a lot less. I am easily distracted and working nearly 5 days in 2011 in Term 4 was tough!!!

I got a little scrapping done. Here is my page with the fabulous 2 Crafty Merry Christmas title

I spent a lot of time cleaning the scraproom too! 4 days...Yes imagine I could have had 5 pages to show, instead I was cleaning my mess. I also vow never to let it get that messy again.

I am going to try and update this blog a little and back date some 2011 memories!

2011

It was not one of the easiest years I have ever had, so many fantastic memories but just a hard year personally.

Last year of Preschool for Max, a great year with Tracy and Linda.

Flynn began to walk and talk. Such a cutie!A fun Halloween, Flynn loved it ...his favourite thing ever, collecting lollies and he learnt the word 'more'.
Darren and Stephen enjoyed their morning coffee club.Max knee boarded and tubed up the river.
A big girly night to celebrate the 'Royal' wedding of the decade... William married Kate!
Loved having Dad over 3 mornings a week to help me take Max to preschool. I loved how he called "Pops in the building".A great Easter up a the river.
Anabel retired.

We let the business go. It was a massive decision that will affect our lives for a long time. It was just to hard to keep up in this hard financial climate.

Dad hurt his knee.
Max started T-Ball.

Max and Thomas Malloy were inseparable at preschool and had some fun holiday sleep overs together.

3 great friends turned 40.
Lots of lovely trips in the school holidays ot see my Aunty Joan.

Fun times and sad times, life lessons learnt the hard way!!! All in all, happy to be alive with 2 wonderful kids, a fantastic father, husband, family and friends xxxx

December 09

This layout sat on the desk for over 4 weeks because as usual December is not an easy time to scrap with a crazy social life, report marking and managing 2 boys with social lives as well.

I really wanted to complete this one as I took a photo a day for December daily but just never had time to showcase it in an album. So many wonderful and precious stories from that december, spot my HUGE feet if you can.

I have used the wonderful 2Crafty chipboard as I was lucky enough for Vanessa to hand cut me the December title.

HELLO!!! yes I am still here!

HELLO!!!! Well it was nice to bump into an old friend last Monday and see that someone still checks by here. I promise to upload Project life asap....this old computer is moving sooo slow due the HUGE amount of file space taken up my my photos!!! Man I need to sit for hours and work on that, plus back up back up back up!!!

I still scrapbook and just had an absolute blast at the SAVVY/delights retreat ! My second one and I sure hope I go until we are old and have to catch a special bus to get there. I love my South Coast scrappy mates, well heck I have no Sydney ones left so I guess these wonderful girls are stuck with me!!! Thanks to my wonderful retreat seat partner Lisa Warren! She always offers the best advice and is like a personal tutor. xxxx

Here is some evidence that I still scrap. I have 3 2crafty layouts.

This one is a challenge from the retreat. I had to incorporate the transparency designed by Lisa.

Lots to catch up on! So little time xxx

Inspired Blueprints

Lisa Warren is one of my fav scrappers and I love her Inspired Blueprints website. For my Long Point scrap retreat Lisa gave us a sketch for a competition. I loved the sketch and loved following it to complete this layout.

Thanks Lisa, looking forward to a fun scrap night sometime soon. xx

Flynn at 18 months

My little tough nut. Always happy to laugh and smile.
You have learnt the word NO or shall I say uh uh and you shake your head.
You love to eat and you will go in search of food regularly.
You are happy and will say hello and goodbye to the people you meet at the shops.

You ignore me lots when I call your name.

You love to explore new places.

When you say squeeze hug to you, you squeeze your whole body and growl. It is too cute.

You point to your belly, nose and mouth when asked. You will clap when asked.

You love to ride your buzz car or bee bike FAST!

You only have a little bit of hair, i love your bald head!

You love to play with balls.

You pull everything out of the drawers and walk around with it, chew it, drop it and find something else to grab.

You always open my shower door and say "mum".

You will get me my towel as soon as the water stops.

You can say - Mum, Mumma, Dad, hello, bye-bye, car, yum, go, nar nar (dum dum), more, poo poo , shoes

2 Crafty Layouts

Cracker Night - 2 Crafty

I was about to reminisce on my blog about Cracker night, but I though it would be much more fun to scrap it with some 2 Crafty product

I sadly had no photos of cracker night but thought this one brought back memories from around that time...until I realised I was dressed for a summer night, NOT winter lol

Here is the journaling .....

This June long weekend I found myself remembering back to Firecracker Night – (almost 26 years ago)…a long weekend tradition for Australian children until the sale of fireworks were banned in the 1980’s.
I remember mum coming home with a massive bag of fireworks. We stood in our front yard with all the neighbourhood families. Dad always had a bucket of water ready incase a fire started or anyone touched a hot one. It was exciting…from when Dad lit the fuse and you would hear the hiss - the loud cracks from the skyrockets, the glow of the spinning wheels and running to find the parachutes that would pop out of the aero plane cracker. I also remember the zap of throwdowns, you threw them at the ground and they would light up and make extremely loud noises.
Cracker night was banned due to too many injuries. Funnily enough on cracker night the ER had many people admitted with burns and even worse there were lots of eye injuries from people looking right at a cracker, thinking it would not go off to have it explode in their face.
Cracker night is a great childhood memory and sadly I don’t have photos of Dad, Mum and I on cracker night….just great memories…….June 2011
